Munich & Oktoberfest

Oktoberfest isn’t just a festival—it’s a rite of passage for lovers of beer, brats, and Bavarian culture. Our journey through Munich combined the city’s old-world elegance with the electric energy of the world’s largest Volksfest.

A Grand Munich Welcome

We settled into the Platzl Hotel, footsteps from Marienplatz and the famous Hofbräuhaus. Dinner at Spatenhaus an der Oper introduced us to hearty Bavarian classics, setting the tone for the days ahead.

Regensburg Day Trip & Medieval Marvels

We embarked on a first-class train journey to Regensburg, one of Germany’s oldest towns, where our private guide revealed stone bridges and Roman gates. After sampling sausages at the historic Wurstkuchl and climbing to the Walhalla Temple, we returned with a new appreciation for Germany’s layered history.

Oktoberfest: A Toast to Tradition

The main event took place in the Marstall tent. Our host led us to our seats, where we reveled in liters of Märzen beer, roast chicken, and the infectious joy of singing along with thousands of fellow festival-goers. Bavarian hospitality reached its peak here—prost!

Culinary Explorations & Sobering History

Between steins, we explored Munich’s Viktualienmarkt with a delicacy tour of pretzels, cheeses, and craft beers. A reflective morning at Dachau reminded us of Germany’s past and the importance of remembrance.

Bavaria proved it’s more than just beer—though there was plenty of that too. Want to experience the magic of Oktoberfest and beyond?
